The platform

We don't just install it — we give you something to run it with

Every client gets the same management dashboard. It is not a paid add-on: it comes with the service, and it is the difference between owning an antenna and running a managed fleet.

One pool of data for the whole fleet

The monthly allowance of several Starlink contracts is merged into a single shared pool. A vessel that sails little in a given month lends its headroom to one that sails a lot, so you stop paying for additional usage on some while gigabytes go unused on others.

Requires a pool-type Starlink account and every contract in the group under the same organisation. We build and maintain the group for you; you see each vessel and the group total in the dashboard.

Pause the contract in the off season

If the vessel stops, the contract stops. The pause is executed automatically against Starlink and appears as a credit on the next invoice. When you sail again, it reactivates.

Available on recurring plans. There is an annual allowance of paused days, so it is best planned as whole off-season months rather than the odd weekend.

Know before the invoice arrives

Email alerts when usage reaches the percentages you choose, sent to the recipients you choose — the skipper, the chief engineer or whoever handles administration. You can set thresholds above 100% so you are warned once you are already into additional usage.

Additional usage has three states: disabled, enabled, and enabled with notification. The counter resets at the start of each month, in the account’s own time zone.

Where each vessel is, with no extra hardware

The terminal reports its own position, so the map works without installing anything else. You see the whole fleet, the route history for the last few days, and you can define alert zones that notify you when a vessel enters or leaves them.

The position the terminal reports is that of a coverage cell, not a GPS fix: it tells you where the vessel is, not how to follow it metre by metre, and it carries no heading or speed. That requires AIS, which is a separate product, as are alert zones.

Why you can trust this proposal

No made-to-order testimonials, no star ratings — just facts you can verify before you decide.

Every ocean

Verifiable coverage

Starlink Maritime runs on SpaceX's LEO constellation across the Mediterranean, Atlantic, Caribbean, Pacific and Indian Ocean. Coverage is public: check your area on Starlink's official map before committing to anything.

48 h

Certified installation

Carried out by a certified naval communications integrator, at the port that suits you, with a signed handover. On most vessel sizes the system is live within a single working day.

£0

Advisory at no cost

The assessment and proposal are free, and the final price of the hardware and plan is the same as going direct. We are paid by the installation network, not through a mark-up on you.

Frequently asked questions

Does Starlink work offshore, far from the coast?

Yes. Starlink Maritime is specifically designed for open ocean use. Coverage is global, though some extreme polar zones have limited coverage. The constellation of over 6,000 low-orbit satellites guarantees signal at virtually any point on the planet.

What internet speed can I expect on board?

Starlink Maritime delivers high speed and low latency — more than enough for HD video calls, streaming, remote work and real-time navigation systems for multiple simultaneous users.

How much does installation and the monthly service cost?

Cost varies depending on vessel type, length and the data plan best suited to your navigation pattern. At InternetenelMar we prepare a personalised, no-obligation proposal. Contact us and we will give you all the details.

Who carries out the installation?

Installation is carried out by certified technicians specialising in marine connectivity. Installations take place at the most convenient marina for you and include a sea trial.

Can I use Starlink in different countries without extra cost?

Yes. Starlink Maritime provides global coverage on a single plan. There is no roaming or additional charges for sailing in different countries' waters, unlike traditional mobile data plans.

What happens if I have a technical fault offshore?

We offer 24/7 technical support. Most issues are resolved remotely. If on-site intervention is required, it is coordinated at the nearest port to your current position.

Is it compatible with my vessel's navigation and AIS systems?

In most cases, yes. During the consultation we assess compatibility with existing on-board equipment. We have experience integrating Starlink with NMEA systems, AIS, plotters and fleet management systems.
